Loved the spare instrumentation (ukulele?) along with the vocals. Well done, gents.


(And topical for me, too - we got 2.5 inches (@ 7cm) of rain in about 9 hours. At least some of that ended up in our basement, coming up from the floor. Good times...)

You re right, i bought a series of small instruments, here the uke, bass uke, toy accordion and tambourine. Lol cuthbert, i believe too that this time canyons of rain means just canyons of rain!

Just a super interesting song. And I say this as someone with a keen amateur's interest in City Planning. The fact that it was recorded on novel instruments it's almost a distraction. Yet I love the sound of those instruments. I'm curious how you recorded them.

They're all small, so I could just stay in the backseats of my car (the perfect audio cabinet, to me) and record them with my usual zoom h1 condenser, placed about an arm lenght from the soundhole. I've tried the C flute (?recorder?), as well, it sounds good! you'll hear in the next one!
