I was driving John crazy tonight with musical non sequiturs, but I think I rebounded. Props to John for a stellar vocal delivery and cool lyrics.

Fab vocal John ..who is that man? Loving the flutters of guitar throughout

I have a few choice words for Bruce, but these I'll share with the rest of you.

The Man Upstairs

The man upstairs treads softly on my ceiling
Light footfalls barely make a sound
Is he trying not to be noticed
To find if I could forget he's about

The man upstairs seldom steps outside
I wonder what made him move away from the world
Did someone injure or offend him
Or is he just content to watch events unfurl

Who is the man upstairs
Should I try to know him do I dare
If I think about him does he care
Who is the man upstairs

The man upstairs views the world through his window
Looks out on the people as they pass him by
I wonder what he thinks as he watches
Does he gaze with indulgence or a critical eye

The man upstairs hears callers on the weekends
He rarely speaks that his voice is heard
So many are so loud with their praise and pleading
I wonder how they know when he utters a word

Who is the man upstairs
Should I try to know him do I dare
If I think about him does he care
Who is the man upstairs

The man upstairs seems to me to be lonely
In spite of the guests he indulges each week
I wonder how well they really know him
Have they overlooked his greatest need

The man upstairs treads softly on my ceiling
Does he recall that I am here
Could it be that I haven't noticed
Subtle signals throughout the years

Who is the man upstairs
Should I try to know him do I dare
If I think about him does he care
Who is the man upstairs

this is a real home run... it's quite epic... sort of like Robin Trowers Bridge of Sighs... very different but also for me that incredible vacuum that sucks me right inside.....

cool and dreamy lyrics... and leaves one to wonder, a good thing....

the music is super.... the bass is so awesome... the guitars impress... but mostly this is a very lovely and soft piece by Blooby... one of the best I ever heard from this artist for me... and they are all quite great...
but this has a special feel...

of course Lurkers voice is in the usual amazing form...

Excellent and moody. The guitar interludes gently and briefly uplift and illuminate the otherwise dark scenery, as if to say "Lighten up. Your obsession with, and dark speculation about, the man upstairs kind of weird. The truth about him is quite benign, simple, and would probably disappoint you."

What did you do for the drums on this?

What a fabulous song. Great guitars, stunning vocal and I particularly love the Farfisa-style organ appearing periodicaly.  Enigmatic lyrics are spot on for me.

Very, very accomplished all round.

First off, this is a cool song with excellent music and a top vocal/lyric! I dig all the little pieces that pop up throughout the song, mixed quietly but just enough to be heard. The clean guitar solo is another stand out moment. The bass is subdued but very present in the song. Nicely done Blooby and Lurker!

That video was very amusing. I took notes should I end up in a multi-story assisted living unit.

Still using Addictive Drums. I am a huge fan.

Thank you sincerely for listening.
