Looping

is there anyway to take a rhythm and just loop it or do i have to record the rhythm for 4+ minutes >.<.

The rhythm is separate from the 4 recording tracks, just choose which one you want and it will loop itself. You can then record it as part of the mix when you master the song.

are you reffering to just the drums or are you trying to loop audio as well?

when i say rhythm, i'm referring to the rhythm you play on a guitar, or bass.  Sorry for the confusion, i forgot on the device that rhythm meant drums.

The Mbr won't loop in the traditional sense like you'd do in a DAW
although it will loop record
a work around for repeating a part to create a rythym would be the copy function described on pg 53 of the manual
you would determine the source data-copy it to a destination measure/track and it should ask you how many times you want it to repeat-i havent tried this myself but it should work
another way would be to export the track to  a program such as Audacity to do the looping then import it back in to the MBR

I do this a lot to make a "quick and dirty" backing track when teaching, (I am not an "Instructor" as such, but I teach a few local kids) and it works fine for me. Dunno if I would want to use it for an actual project tho, as any little thing in the loop will repeat, and sound naff. I just collaborated on a cover of Freebird and had to sit there playing the clean picked part in the first half for 5 minutes, which was mindnumbingly boring, but sounds way better. Play it for real mate, thats what I say :)

i agree its fresher sounding to play all the way thru-i leave the boogers in some times too
