Well here's another for the RPM album Age ...the worries of retirement.
The Day has finally come
where my workday is done
Cause I'm real, ready to stop
Ive had enough of the boss
Ive had enough of the work
Its time to put these old feet up
put these old feet up
And rest these weary bones

You know what I mean

Have I paid in enough to the man in charge
To rest, the rest of my life
Or has the pension fund money
Been messed up by the bank
I worry i won't survive

Its time to put these old feet up
put these feet up
And rest these weary bones
these weary bones

Let it go now come on

Break

Will the wife stick by my side
now I'm always home
And Always under her feet
Will I drive her crazy
Will she up and leave me
I worry I can not sleep

I just want to put these old feet up
put these old feet up
And rest these weary bones

these weary bones

What I really want to do
What I want to do
Is rest these weary bones

I got these worries always on my mind
But what will be will be
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die

I am now going to rest my weary bones, very powerful

TPB

Little T-Rex treatment on the vocals Nice I am sitting listening to this with my old feet up

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Very unique line up of instruments here, reminds me of a 90s Tom Waits song. Quirky but bluesy with a tremendous vocal! Excellent song

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

Your vocals are great..really suits this blues style song. I love the mixture of other instruments, even if they shouldn't work they sound great.
I wish I could quit work too...got years yet  :(
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

I love what you are doing these days Trev...likely because I can relate but really mostly because they rock so hard in their own way.... this really rocks... and it wreaks of something like the greats like CCR or even the Doors might have done...

really cool work with your use of the plug ins or effects... very good!

mostly just great Trev.

Great bluesy rocker, with your typically awesome vocal.
I'm resting my bones as well.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Ron D Bowes

Quirky melody track and then BANG! The vocals come in taking it to a different level. I like it ;-)

Ray Brookes

Great bluesy number, Trev and cool lyrics. What a vocal!!!

I am with Steve. I really love the stuff you are doing lately. There is a real edge to your tunes. Raw, real and just damn fine. Loved this one and loved the spirit in the lyrics, damn I need a rest too!!!
