Yes, GL is a much beloved singer/songwriter in Canada....he is a national treasure....you want to blow your mind, check out "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"....there is an epic song.......

I think the first song I knew of his was "Sundown" and I love that one... then came the one you mentioned... and that is indeed an amazing piece... what a story and a song.... lately I have been hearing the "Canadien Railroad Trilogy" I think it's called... another great one.
