um....  I played drums along the Riviera.... or should I say I recorded drums while attempting to play along to Tim's Riviera?  How about we go with I was trying to jam with Greeny's latest...
and then add my stuff to it...

the ending is epic... the start is cool and there are very special moments within....butttttttttttttttttttttt..... it is better when you have a bit of wine, beer or something...........

I can see the buzzards circling. There's sand everywhere. I'm in the desert.
This mirage lasts for a while and then gets rudely halted by the sudden smell of the rehealsal place.

There are used ear plugs and drumsticks littered on the floor. The drum throne has something that looks like a greasy stain.

Suddenly the guys start playing. They look like different shades of the same character.
I try to wipe my eyes, but the vision lasts. What first was an inkling of a melody soon turns into something more cohesive.

The bass player, a shady looking character has veiny arms and loose pants. The drummer looks like he's in his own world. Eyes half-closed with some spittle on his chin. The lead guitar player zooms around the room, acting like the king of the hill. The king of the session. Unfortunately nobody told him that he's unplugged and they're not hearing him at all. Before he has time to understand what is happening the speaker cabinet sucks him in. The only sound he managed to make on this session was the sound of a burp, and even that was coming from the speaker cabinet.

Another fellow appears into the room. He looks a lot like the bass player and approaches the guitar like the drummer. With eyes half-closed with some spittle on his chin. Together they're the brothers of WhAT tHE? The band that goes nowhere fast. The band that like to take their sweet time. The band that last for close to five minutes and then they're gone. Leaving only a trace of spittle in their wake.

Somewhere in a distance there's a faint noise that sounds like a series of burps.

Absolutely epic description of the events here....as told from an intrepid reporter stationed somewhere inside this darkly lit dank cavernous dungeon of a jam space club....I want to hear the story of the reporter himself...why do we never get his story.......what was he thinking........drinking.......what demons was he exorcising that fateful night......the night of the long jam..........the night that never ends.........

I was just saying to my son while listening last night that Steve has a way of making it sound like a real jam ...in real time.......with real dudes playing....not just some one dude multitracking it .....in his spandex......and here comes Zoltan to give the very description that I was seeing in my minds eye while listening.......brilliant

This only makes sense to me played loud on the speakers... it doesn't do it for me on headphones...

Nice description by Zoltan :D

Cool riffs and live acoustic drums (I assume) are great here!

Lots of lovely space and air. The recording of the drums sounds so good - it's impossible to get that truly live sound off a machine. Like the way it builds and drops away before hitting the finale. All the instruments take turns to stand out too. Fantastic jam!

This is really cool! The drums and bass remind me a little of early Floyd

Nice fills!

Captain Beefheart springs to mind with the off beat approach. I can imagine his raspy vocals over this. Cool job!

thanks Bruce for the bump... I think I was trying to align my chakras or something here... somehow I think I come up with good ideas for later from these jams... I know you get it...
