This is a collab with Kenny , called Grey Room (Phoenix) .. the sound kindda gravitated toward 80's Synthwave, let us know what you think ..
Thanks

Crash...the sound of your world
slipping out through the door

Smash....the sound of our heart
of glass when it hits the floor.

Boom the sound of those words
Firing like a gun.

Blast.... the heat from it all
Scorches you like a sun.

And this grey room
You'll light it up again
You'll light it up again
And this grey room
You'll fill it again with love
You'll light it up again.
You'll light it up again.
This grey room
You'll fill it again with love.

Now you're walking
In the door
Lights pulsating
On the floor
You start moving to the groove
Heads start turning to see you move.

Life....You're living again
You're moving inside your zone

Love.....You're laughing again
And now you are not alone.

Smile.... your shaking your head
You're looking into his eyes

And this grey room
You'll light it up again
You'll light it up again
And this grey room
You'll fill it again with love

You'll light it up again

You'll light it up again

And this grey room

You'll fill it again with love

You'll light it up again
You'll light up again
This grey room......

it is a thing of beauty... hints at some of the 80's pop rock that was big hits on the radio...
major vocals, major voice Ken.
This is a powerful group... nice work both Michel and Ken!  I will be hearing this again...

the start of this is way different than what it morphs into... that is a cool head rush thing...
also this fits well with the Zoltan song just before it on the juke box.. that is cool synchronicity.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

This song is about someone rebuilding their life after the shockwave of a broken relationship.
godingc sent me the synth track with an excellent lead near the end.
I did the vocal falsetto as it just fitted the songs mood.
I tried it on a normal vocal but the song didn't sound as good.
I wasn't going to add the funky guitar part as it sounded finished to me but I'm glad I did as it opened the song up .
I played the guitar on my 57 Michael kelly strat.
Thanks again godingc for letting me work with you again.

Cool 90's vibe but still totally your own. The vocal is positively elastic in spots. How the hell do you do that?

I tend not to like dance songs where the lyrics are about dancing. But I like these lines:

I take that metaphorically. For me, literally going to a dance club after a breakup would be a symptom of heartbreak and emotional crisis, not a sign of healthy recovery. But I do recall moments when I broke through a fog that I didn't quite realise was even there – and I suddenly I recognized myself. Hello! I remember that guy! Do you wear glasses? Have you ever habituated to having some light smudges on your lenses, and then you clean the lenses, and suddenly you realize what you've been living with? It's like that, but with emotions.

As other have said: This has a great 80's feel. The falsetto works. It brings some drama to the song that supports the theme. Excellent work.

Thanks for the comments Ted.
The story is actually about a young woman who was really, really badly deceived and broken hearted.
and after a year of recovering decided to go back out and live her life with her head held high after a huge dent to her self confidence ,the dance floor was a big step for her as it was a huge leap to get back into the world she had left behind.
It is in fact a true story.

I love the vibe, sentiment and story behind this one. Those are some powerful emotions you have expressed in the lyrics and together with the power in the music you chaps have created a most uplifting tune. I am on my third listen here... yeah fab stuff
