Hot weather is slowly fading out, so it's time to make some noise again... :)

One of the most iconic songs of traditional Irish music, and a wonderful melody too. Guitar: Yamaha SA2200 - backing tracks: Band-in-a-Box 2022

A contribution to the instrumental covers fest. This one is dedicated to all the Irish friends here on Songcrafters and to all the ones who love Irish music. Of course I made it "my way", so it may sound rather unhortodox...it is what it is, quoting ORH...

:)

ah yes... a lovely thing you have done here.  Very nice!!!
really like the backing "band" as well.  What is not to like.  Lovely guitar chords and that dreamlike lead.

Nice melody and as usual nice guitar sound and arrangement, you invited a bass player from BIAB, I think

I didn't know this Irish song ..so I searched for anteriorities on YT and I found a nice version sung by The dubliner (live) and a nice version on the tin whistle ..maybe I'll try to do it I was looking for a tune to play on the tin whistle ;)

Je suis heureux que vous reveniez à un peu plis de musique #)
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Hi Alfredo,
This is beautiful guitar instrumental, with lovely backing instruments.
The beat os so relaxed, and your guitar playing is so exquisite.
Simply beautiful recording.
Thank you for this beauty!!!

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

smooth and warm. that guitar tone is great!

I wouldn't peg this as an Irish tune necessarily, but it is a beautiful melody. Tones are like a warm embrace. Going to listen to some Kenny Burrell now for more.

I am 50% Irish, but admit I don't know much about Irish music.  Thanks for teaching me, the Italian influenced version  :)  It was a great listen and lovely Jazz guitar tone!  Googled the guitar - beautiful looking hollow body it is!  Are those the Band in the box "real tracks" players (not synths)?

Thank you all!  :) Absolutely yes. Only realtracks, that means real music made by real musicians with real instruments. No synths.
