I am in a period of learning the Low whistle in D..and after Irish Boy by Mark Knoppfer I discovered this tune "an Buachaillin ban" which is also called "Dear Irish Boy".

I didn't find any explanation about this tune except this short note on the site https://tunearch.org/wiki/Buachaill%C3%ADn_B%C3%A1n_(1)_(An)

A track with the VSTi Hammond B4 Organ from Native instrument
A track with my Ibanez guitar tuned in DADGAD
A track with Low Whistle in D

A very pleasant listen!  You are quite advanced on that whistle and it sounds quite good!  What brand is your whistle?

Beautiful. Seems you've already mastered that whistle

This flute playing sounds very mature to me. I love the deep droning feeling of the organ. I listened in headphones, but I'd love to hear this played loud on a speaker system with the kind of bass that rattles your teeth.

JP I think you are well on your way to mastering the low whistle in D. It sounds great in this song. The whole song sounds good!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

this is another level of lovely JP!  I like that really deep tone key at the top of the track...really sets a massive mood for that "whistle"...(sounds like a flute or recorder instrument to me!)...
once again, my wife will love this one.  I do also...

while I generally don't play real subdued music it doesn't mean I don't love it.  It touches a very deep place inside!

Brilliant JP. Sounds centuries old... a lovely old tune and you are a natural with a lot of different instruments.

This sounds incredible JP! There's something really haunting about flute, especially when it's played in a folky manner like this. You already sound like a pro! I love the atmosphere from the organ and guitar as well.

beautiful! love the sound of that flute/whistle. definitely has an ancient irish feel
