A long time ago This song was in my live set, back in the 90's. I Posted a recording I found of it some time ago. And now I've done a new version 25 odd years later.

GarageBand drummer, bass and keyboards, saxophone from Mellowsound (mellotron)then Tokai Tele and vocals.

Quirky song with a strange chord progressions. Also two extended saxophone solos and no chorus. Co-written with David Bowie.

I love Iggy Pop, he has a great voice,...but yours is not bad either, it reminds me of...Lou Reed, weird ... :)
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Really nice and well performed arrangement. I'm getting a bit of Lou Reed too !

what I hear in the voice is perhaps a bit Lou Reed but for me it's more Moby... that dude made some spectacular music for a massive movie series with Matt Damon.  The song was called Extreme Ways.  I loved it so much I would stay at the end while all the credits ran just to hear the song... now I own the song...lol

anyway, that has nothing to do with the song except to say I really like your vocal on this..

Very good Nick, it is a quirky number, those are strange but intriguing melodies. I am getting more of a Bowie feel in the vocal. Very well sung and nicely put together.

Great cover, Nick. 8) Love your vocals on this (they remind me most of Iggy's own on the original), guitars, bass, and keys are in the pocket, and those Mellotron saxophones sound sublime.
