I'm sure I've seen that Bill Hicks routine before. Maybe subconsciously I channeled Bill Hicks.

BTW: My marketing company is called Evil4Good – and I use the Bill Hicks anti-marketing bit in my marketing:

Quote from: Bill HickBy the way if anyone here is in advertising or marketing... kill yourself.

It's just a little thought; I'm just trying to plant seeds. Maybe one day they'll take root – I don't know. You try, you do what you can.

Kill yourself.

Seriously though, if you are: do.

Aaah, no really. There's no rationalization for what you do and you are Satan's little helpers. Okay? Kill yourself.

Seriously. You are the ruiner of all things good.

Seriously.

Hi Ted,
Wow, what an original musical composition.
It is  a bit scary, like something terrible will happen!
Thanks for sharing.

Gotta close that trash can lid, or... the kitchen will be filled with flies. Terrible!

Nice and a bit scary trip within 2 minutes! I'm loving "silent" uke intro and outro, that works well!

The middle part is hypnotic. On my third listening now...I prefer the 2nd mix.

So good, Ted!

I think you mean the mix at the top of the thread – which is the second mix I did, but the first to appear on this topic.

There's a lot going on in the middle part, especially when it transitions to the "thank you" section. I wouldn't call it "muddy," but I can't really hear each individual part (voice, ukulele, arpeggio guitar, crunch guitar, lead guitar, bass, drums).

I really appreciate mixes where I can locate each part. What could I do differently? Broader panning? Smarter EQ-ing of each part? Tone tweaking? I want to be better at this.

This had me looking behind me.  Glad I'm listening in daylight!

Cool stuff.

I was thinking of this song today. It's also about parenting. I had forgotten that the video version begins with whispering. It's definitely my favorite Foxy Shazam song, and possibly a top-20 favorite song by any artist.

I played it for my 17 year old son. He is cleaning his room now.

I'm a little creeped out, but I like the results.

Just pick up after yourself and nothing terrible will happen.

I really hope you aren't kidding.

Scary stuff, like the Muppets on acid...

I can see the Electric Mayhem covering this with Vincent Price as a guest host.

Inventive with cool tones, nice dynamics, and a definite vibe.
