I should have stayed away from the acoustic :D
I'm not proud, but i recorded a scat track for this...

Not a song I'd like to try covering but you have a done a great job and I think the acoustic works perfectly.

then I am all in to your ABOM I NATION!  perhaps Zolta Nation is more appropriate....

I'll be a rodeo, er roadie for your band!  wicked good cover... I am really digging this... I never been that big a Hendrix fan... I could take him or leave him... but yeah, this is super good...
I like the big deep sound you get with the track...kind of like that other one..
plus there are some really inventive nuggets of noise in here that I really like..

Hi Zoltan,
I am biased towards the acoustic.
I like this song you covered.
Acoustic version of this song is great!!!
Your vocals can be the focal point!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind comments! This was a really quick test project for beer can sample drums (!) that i downloaded yesterday. Overall it was a weird experience... For once i couldn't sing the song without playing so i ended up recording two guitar tracks for it (The one done while singing and the other trying to keep up with that).

And this resulted into a simplified performance as i couldn't play it properly while whining away! This resulted in a performance that's more Tony Joe White than Hendrix i think...
Also a funny thing happened with the "scat" track. It's the first take. I accidentally recorded it while trying out where those FOXEY bits should fit. Then i tried to record it properly, but i didn't manage to capture the spirit so i ended up using the first take.

The beer can drum samples can be found here if someone needs them:
https://www.caelumaudio.com/CaelumAudio/?Page=BeerKit

Also i just posted about the free plugins that i found today, and i couldn't stop myself from trying to remix / master this one with some of those. It's a quick test. The new mix is attached to this post.

This is a very cool acoustic version of Foxy Lady! You're an acoustic rock star, Zoltan! It all works for me...great acoustic sound and excellent vocals. I was in a cover band way back when and we did a few Hendrix songs, Foxy Lady was one of them. Nice work! I wish I had thought of doing an acoustic version of it...you rocked it man!

Oh, I dug this. Makes me want to perform it live with John should we motivate to get some gigs.

Loved this.
