you are a rocker sir!  flat out put your head down and flail away on that guitar.... really love the sounds you are getting on this... love the panning and the various guitar playings...it's a really wonderful rendition of the song (I don't know it).  You sound like Dave Davies on this (I think he sang in The Kinks...btw, they were way better live than their studio stuff (at least that is what i thought when I saw them)).....

top notch rockin here Pete

So... Someone DID have the guts to tackle a Slade song! I was slightly intrigued by such a task, but gave up before making the world spin out of it's axis...

The playing works, the vocals are vibey. It's rocking. I'm not feeling any pain (well, maybe some aches...), it's snowy outside (F*ck the slush!) and i'm not getting any younger. So what does it tell about this song? It took me away from the boredom of this manic monday (i know it's tuesday, but it feels like monday to me).

Salute to rockers like you! Cool beans right here!

Brilliant, Pete.  I love me a bit of Slade.  I always thought that they were a rare mix of pop and validity.  This is a great cover.

Smoking cover brother I remember seeing them in concert in the 70's always had a great show if you could see them through the smokey haze LOL. Brought my memories right back there

Meant to comment earlier... Slade is a bit underappreciated in the States - except for covers of their songs by later American metal bands (e.g., Quiet Riot)! Those covers got plenty radio play over here back in the 80s.

Your guitars sound nice and beefy, like they should - and excellent vocals. It really rocks!

Well done!

Outstanding recording.
You are a great artist and musician. Your vocals is great and you can cover any song, in my opinion.
Well done!

A band I was in during the early 70's supported Slade on one of their UK tours. Great times and this brought back great memories. Nicely covered, Pete.

Fantastic stuff, Pete. Slade really did rock like bastards. You've done a superb job on all the elements - those crunchy guitars and the lead lines are outstanding. I always like a song with handclaps too. Cool!
