Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Just spent the last hour on YouTube browsing hits from 1972 and added this to my "maybe" list as it's a song I remember well from that year. Then I popped over to SC and saw someone had covered it ! Never mind....there's a few more on my list  ;D

Love how you've done this - retained the simplicity of the original and added a bit more to make it your own. Great cover Tim !

I loved America however this is the one song that I could always do without of theirs...having said that  you did a very nice job on this Tim...vocals are good...and you made the song your own!

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

A relaxed and comfortable sounding cover version! I like the playing and the overall vibe. For some reason America (the band) never really caught my imagination, but this is from the "good bottle". Carry on!

Hi TPB,
This is one of my favorite songs, of all time.
Very nice version, and I am digging it.
You definitely made this your own.
Well done.

Very nicely covered, Tim. You've added your own style instead trying to emulate the original.

Nice cover of an absolutely classic song. I love the lyrics of this song - not your usual dopy love song lyrics.
I have to admit this song was overplayed on the radio - some classic rock stations seemed to have this as the only America song in their rotation, which is sad, but nevertheless I'm glad for that because it eventually led me to investigate their deeper catalog which is awesome. In fact I only got into them deeper ~10 years ago after coming across a video of an early concert. I got sufficiently interested that I have been to see them live twice.  But there are still plenty of deep tracks I have left to study.

yes Tim, this song is for your voice

you use a device to dub the chorus voices? they sound a bit fake to me, it's a shame because your lead voice is perfect
