My Cousin wrote this song after breaking up with his long time girl friend He started life as a blue guitarist Then wrote this song and hooked up and played with Dave Mason until his death. Still have a lot of his original recordings I converted from reel to reel and when he was playing with Ottis Rush
Anyway my humble attempt

I have always loved this song...the emotion, the story of the break up...the indecision....the wondering what to do...it's a great, great song.
congratulations on a great cover!

excellent song and beautiful recording Tim

What is the name of your cousin?

intrigued by the song I searched the lyrics on google to get the translation
I found this text credited to Dave Manson, I found a live version on You tube where he sings and plays with a certain Jim Krueger, both on this video play on a 12 string electro acoustic...

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Jim Krueger was my cousin you should check out the video when him and Mason play all along the watch tower on acoustic. Sadly he died at 43.  He leaved in the house behind me the neighbor got to hear loud music everyday lol

Tim, when I posted a cover of another Dave Mason song, I remember you mentioning your cousin (Jim Krueger) had written We just Disagree and performed it with Dave Mason. That is very cool and it's sad that he passed at such a young age. I've seen Dave Mason many times through the years, so I'm sure I've seen your cousin on stage with him as well.

You've done a wonderful cover of this song which I believe is one of D. Mason's biggest hits. I hope your cousin's family still gets some of the recognition and royalties from it.

Lovely job Tim. I am sure your cousin would approve, there is a lot of heart in this version. Sounds like you have serious musical talent in your family bloodline, but we knew that anyway Tim. Really nice job on this.
