Saw Ralph tonight on BBC and remembered I'd worked out the fingerpicking for this song years ago because I coud'nt find a version that sounded like the original---vox a bit shaky cause I went to a wedding yesterday----- and I'm still recovering , this man is probably the most underated singer songwriter this country has ever produced , but one of the best

You're right Facemask, Ralph was much underrated. This song in particular has suffered from being done to death by every learner guitarist and too many cheesy cover versions. This version isn't one of them. I think the vox are nice, perhaps not as strong as some of your others, but they suit the song well. Very nicely played as well. Great fingerpicking.

This is very nice. I like the 'folky' style of your vocal on this one. I actually like it better than the original. This song was ruined for me because we had to endure it far too much in primary school, but now I play guitar and write songs as an adult, I can see what an incredible piece of songwriting it is. Lovely stuff.

You will have to forgive my ignorance - have not heard of this artist before - I like the arrangement. I was also very impressed with the fingerpicking style - bravo!!

Haven't heard this for years, but what a great cover.

You vocals don't sound too shaky to me, and your finger picking work is exceptional.

Very nice fingerpicking.  Great job there.  I love fingerpicked guitar, it is a hard thing to do good (steady timing, clear notes), and you nailed this.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places
