Hot damn, this was an enjoyable listen. I don't know a lot of King Crimson, but the beginning of your song reminded me a bit of 'Sister Europe' by the Psychedelic Furs. Could be that 5/4 time signature? (it's difficult enough dealing with 4/4, myself  )
