Originally i had an idea of this being an early Kris Kristofferson rip-off song with vocals that sounded closer to late 70's Kristofferson (Shake Hands with the Devil). Now that i started toying with this i tried to sing the vocals in a dead as doornail / flat vocal sound and i kinda liked the effect. It's schoolboy country!
The choruses have a slight Neil Young Harvest Moon vibe to them i think. I even tried to seach for a broomstick sample

If you're on a roll, don't stop I say! It's got a nice country and western feel a bit, but also kind of a psychedelic 60's vibe which I really like. The music is great and love the lyrics and vocals.

Yes, it's kind of psychedelic country. It starts fairly conventionally but that flangy/phasey guitar is a great touch and then it really builds with the drums and keys. You really are on a roll with some very interesting and varied songs, all with great production. Keep 'em coming!

Cool song, your vocals really fit well on here. That chorus is great with the descending riff and nice bit of piano that comes in the the end.

This one's pretty darn fine.

Like others, I love how the psychedelic guitar and that gorgeous piano appear as an almost effortless afterthought.
