Finished this off after sitting on it for over a month. Another downer of a news cycle prompted something a tad more positive.

Sister Brother

Let's treat each other
Like we're from the same mother
Sister Brother
Look out for one another

Families fight
Don't always see eye to eye
But pull as one
When something's got to get done

We don't always get along
But together we're strong
You may not be my friend
But I've got a hand to lend

Let's treat each other
Like we're from the same mother
Sister Brother
Look out for one another

We barely take the time
to learn each other's mind
but it doesn't cost a whole lot
to give someone else a fair shot

Your words sound strange
We don't look the same
But we still share
The same basic needs and cares

Let's get past our fears
and bring each other near
to break the walls down
and walk on common ground

Let's treat each other
Like we're from the same mother
Sister Brother
Look out for one another

Like the funky feel of this. This lyrics are spot on.
I need to listen on a proper speaker. My iPad speaker's doesn't bring out the bass enough

A bit of funk with soul(ful) vocals! The drums are important for the song, but i'd give more space for the bass guitar + rhythm guitar. The vocals are loud and clear, but the current mix (in my listening setup) feels like it's vocals + drums mostly. There's lots of great playing waiting to be brought to the forefront.

Great song but I'm with Zoltan. Kick up the rhythm & bass guitars a tad and it will balance out better IMHO. Got a hot bass going there that needs to be heard. Great drum punch and tones also!

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Love it !!!

Uplifting song with great lyrics.

Drums really sound great, how did you do them?

Guitar as always an inspiration to me and the bass sound good too, but like the others I'd like to have it louder in the mix !

I'm a fan !

I try and keep the news off these days... stay at home alot more...
great song with a great message...
for me I almost alway s love more bass...and in this case I do agree with the others...but I do love the way you mix the vocals around the drums...that is very cool...as always really cool and good guitar work as well...

Brilliant funky track, it really reminds me of one of my fave 70s bands, Stretch. Google "Why did you do it" by Stretch and you'll see where I am coming from. The drums sound amazing, just right for this track, and the bass is spot on. But I can only agree with everyone else, it needs to be higher in the mix to really work with the drums and anchor that superb groove. Love the vocals, brilliantly sung and the vibe of the lyrics is also spot on for a kind of 70s funk track. Love that guitar solo as well.

So much to like, this is a fab track. Tweak that bass a bit and it will go stratospheric IMO......

I love this, really nice funky groove. The drums are really good, yes maybe the guitars could be a bit louder in the mix, but its still a great listen. Some awesome playing and love the lyrics and vocals.
