Spouse bought me coffee flavored beer

Does your spouse ever get you something that is so well intentioned, yet so misguided?

I love coffee and love beer, but coffee flavored beer struck me as something that would probably be the "worst of both worlds"

But it actually isn't that bad. Perhaps having beer just trumps any other oddity?

I've been to a fair few beer festivals in my time and I usually quite like coffee beer - sometimes it edges a bit too towards the heavier side for me, but often it's a nice mix.

Chocolate beer is usually too heavy, not a fan and I usually struggle to finish it.

Had a few wacky ones in my time. I had one that was only served in thirds, not sure of percentage but it was high. I hated it, was like drinking tar! Was sat with it for aaaages.

One I saw at a beer festival that I couldn't say no to (despite really wanting to) was prune flavoured beer. Sounded terrible but knew I'd regret it if I didn't try it. Works out it was lovely and my favourite that day!

Another that sticks in my mind was beer that was advertised as being brewed with water that had been used to cook spaghetti in. Unfortunately that fact was the most interesting part about it - it tasted pretty much like any other beer.

Coffee beer sounds good to me! I like the chocolate beers too. Anything dark. I'm opposed to watery beer or grapefruit,etc. beer.
I made the mistake of buying low carb beer last weekend because it was on sale, and it was like I took a half beer and filled the other half at the water tap. Not again!
