My fingers would have been bleeding after that, almost like musical voyerism lol.
I Loved the whole concept and felt like I was in the room.
Excellent playing by an excellent songcrafter.

What can I say? Great to hear this one finally get released, the playing is spellbinding. I originally thought our voices ruined the take, but it really does add an interesting depth to the track (it is a fanfare for family and friends after all). Great work and I'm loooking forward to hearing you work out more of your material.

Very nice, but it needs more cat  ;) I couldn't really hear it...... Seriously, there is some wonderful playing there, it would really justify a proper recording, it's so well composed and played. I really enjoyed the homely feel of this but the string noise is quite distracting at times. It's such a good piece of music IMO it would be worth the effort to give it a fuller treatment. But maybe you don't want to face playing it again, it sounds like a pretty tough piece to play!

Either way it's a fab piece of work and a nice view into the Berry household. Lovely stuff, and I really like the inspiration behind it.

Very cool.  Definitely has that slice of family life flavor.  At first I thought the background noise might have been purposely overdubbed, like from a recording in a coffeeshop that somebody posted as an ambient noise track online.  To find out that it was just real home background sounds was cool, because it fits in perfectly, even the relative levels seem right.

The random sampled nature of background vocals in our house, particularly at any moment I hit the record button, tends to be much less pleasant.  My wife will typically scream at a kid something like "Hey, your face got sunburned!  You have to do a better job applying sunscreen!  And you didn't finish your online French homework!  What have you been doing all day!?  I'm going to take away those video games!"  ::)

Although I enjoy lots of different music's ~ my favorite is instrumentals ~ and finger picking guitar sounds = muy bueno.  I am a heavy user of olive oil on any steel strings ~ electric, 6 string, and most definitely the 12, and... it helps a lot with the squeaking sounds, and easier to slide :  )_~~~  abrazos from my side
