Started as a backing track (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=31394) then instrumental but felt it worthy of lyrics. Throw away ones at best as well as my singing but if anyone wants to have at it, I'd love to hear the results with some real lyrical/vocal talent! (you know who you are) 8)

Just Don't Cross the Line (c) 2021 K.J.Hill
-------------------------------------

Where you taking me
      Don't you want to see
Just-get in the car & drive
      Then you'll feel alive

Take me anywhere
      Just not over there
Do not cross the line
      And everything will be fine
----------------------------------
Where you want to be
I do not think you see
You come and you go
      Without a need to know

What you make of me
      I will never see
Just want the best for you
Wish you'd feel that way too
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
I still can not sleep
      as long as I dream
I just keep waking up
      every time I scream

I'm sure that you know
      just what I mean
Our life isn't always
      what it may seem
-------------------------------------
If you cross the line
      You won't be coming back
You won't have the time
To get back on the track

I wanted it all
      But can only have one
And now it starts
      The end's finally come

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Very cool I may take a crack at it when I can get back in my studio have a guest in it right now that has been there for a week too long now

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Ray Brookes

I like the laid back feel of this song - such a cool vibe with interesting chord/key changes and that solo guitar sounds cool with a lovely tone.

Very smooth and easy going tune.
Even though it's smooth and easy the trepidation come through in your vocal delivery.

A very cool song Ken! It's laid back and mellow but still packs an punch. The clean lead guitar is reminiscent of Jerry Garcia (a compliment). Some fine words and vocals also!

listening again...this is just super....  i like the lyrics a bunch and as I said before I really like your singing on here...

I think most people don't like their own voice that much... but you have a flavor...a timbre...that is unique...and bears further development... I suffer at times hating my own voice and once I decided that it doesn't matter...I like to sing so that is reason enough...and I have received enough encouragement on here to contiinue...then again picking the right stuff to sing makes a difference to...and this is your own so that makes it really special!

the bass on here is super too....

I would also add that generally if someone hears a song 3 or 4 times they are going to start liking it...and that is how radio works...

Sweet! Nice job from start to end. Loving that piano a lot...

Warm sounding lead guitar is icing on the cake. You're a real multi instrumentalist!
