I was not going to post this just yet...but there is no time like the present...

I came out of my seat a couple times listening to the final master of this... then again... I laugh at my own jokes too...

1 bass Epiphone through ME-25 Boss processor
1 stereo drum track just the upper drums
1 stereo drum track just the high hat, ride, and bass drum
I rhythm guitar track copied 3 times and panned, timed etc to create interesting effects
1 lead guitar (all guitar Harley Benton PRS copy (which I love)

recorded on Zoom R24...mixed on Bandlab...mastered on LANDR

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Bishmanrock

Great track, some really nice tones and effects in particular, that panned guitar sounds great

this is an alternative mix...using a different single stereo drum track that I played after the original was complete (without listening to drums, just bass and guitars)...

Alesis Nitro drum kit

plus an additional lead guitar layer that I panned 36 left and the original lead 36 right...

and I did alot of different things with drum panning, levels, and bass levels...and some different effects...better?  who knows...different for sure...I like them both for different reasons

This is really solid and interesting stuff. Your songs always seem to gradually come into focus, but when they do, they're so sharp and defined. All the elements here are fantastic. The drums and bass alone are worth the price of admission, but your guitar work (both on the rhythm and lead) is very cool indeed. An excellent listen.

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

This is a really cool instrumental track Stephen. I love the guitars, sounds like it came from one of those 1980's horror films..like " fright night" or something. ha! You're really good on those guitars, always do great riffs and interesting melodies. The drums are really good. And the way you've panned and produced it is really well done.

Do you have plans to add any lyrics/ vocals?
I really like the alternative version too :)

I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

Ferryman_1957

Very cool and not that mental (compared to something like Drain Demons!!). Lovely sounds here, I am preferring the alternative mix which seems much clearer to me. Really nice lead work over an excellent backing track, a lovely listen.

Hook

That was fabulously entertaining instrumental, I dig brother.
Rock on!

It has a cool film noir vibe to it.  Love those guitar tones.

Lots of interesting stuff going on in this track not least of all that drumming, not to mention the cool guitar work. Just crying out for a Tarantino movie.
