it's a song from 1934 by Philipps Phelps, I wanted to make a sung version because I like the hawaiian vocal harmonies...
In the meantime here is a version with my lap steel guitar tuned in Am (A C E A C E )

the backtrack bass, drums Uke is with the guys from Band in a Box

here is a vocal instrumental version

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Thank you guys

Thanks a lot I had a lot of trouble with the second part, because it's a fast note to note play, without slide ...and my strings were probably a bit soft for this kind of tuning Am ACEACE...

I received my second lap steel and I'm going to set up the two in double neck, one in C6 and the other in Open D, with a volume pedal and a switch to play one or the other lap steel (or both)...I'll give you some news about this set up...and if you need a lap steel for your songs...with pleasure

Great dreamy sound on the lead lap steel, and really like that uke backing. Fantastic stuff JP.

Lovely stuff JP. It sounds a bit like the Hot Club relocated to Hawaii! Love the feel of the track and that lead playing is really nice. Lovely sounds all round as well and a very nicely produced track. Now where's my mai tai....? ;)

thanks all guys

;D ... it's a pity that some notes are a little bit wrong but this is due to a too "soft" string play, it would have been necessary to have a heavy gauge
