It was a great pleasure to do this song with my friend Alfredo, for Les Containment Musical Workshop
La canzone di Marinella is a song written and composed in 1962 by singer-songwriter Fabrizio De André with musical arrangements by Gian Piero Reverberi, first published on the 1964 single Valzer per un amore/La canzone di Marinella by the same author. It is one of De André's best-known songs.

We did this song alternately in French and Italian
I've copied the lyrics and their translation into English in the scroll
I did a part of the singing in French, guitar, Melodica and Alfredo did the other part of the singing in Italian and did the mixing, with the participation of the guys from BIAB

Merci encore Alfredo

Come un ragazzo segue l'aquilone

It is from marinelle the romance
Who in the river once lost her luck
But the wind saw her being so beautiful
From the river it brought her to a star
Alone without the memory of a pain
Of a love you lived without hope
But a king without his crown and without escort
Knocked one day three times on your door

White as the moon his hat
As red as love his coat
Tulo you followed without reason
Like a boy follows a kite

There was sunshine and what beautiful eyes you had
He kissed your lips and your silky hair
You had the moon, you had the eyes of a child
He put his hands so big on your hips
It was kisses and it was smiles
And then it was only the smell of lilies
Who saw you with the beautiful eyes of the stars
And you'll be the first to know that you're in love with me

say that on your way back you
You slipped into the river, who knows
And the one who didn't want to You don't think you were dead
Knocked on your door a hundred years older

That's the marinelle your romance
You who flew on a wandering star
And like all the most beautiful things
You only lived one day like the roses
And like all beautiful things
You only lived one day like the roses

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
