Yes it's a Christmas song in May - what's not to like.

You know when you have a song that you just can't seem to finish. Well I've had this one since December (funnily enough) and had a couple of goes at it. So I messaged Ray and said I've got this idea can you send me a Christmassy Blues backer and this is the result.

Don't blame Ray :D

Thank you so much Ray, it wouldn't have happened without your kindness and brilliance.

Santa Baby

You think you can just pop round when I haven't seen you for a year
And you think I'll be pleased to see you and full of Christmas cheer
You want me to give you mincepies
And even feed your reindeer

I've taken off my stockings and hung em up on the Chimney breast
I've bought some mistletoe and shaved the front of my legs
You haven't even called me, not one single text
But I kind of like you decked out in all your red threads

Your wearing black patient boots and flexing the whip for the reindeer
You want me to call you Santa and you say I'm the one that's weird

I've dusted off the fluffy handcuffs and taken off my thermal vest
When you come a knocking on some jumped up pretext
I've secured you to the bedpost, you think you know what's coming next
Well it ain't you Santa Baby, you should learn some respect

So yeppe ki ay mother fucker I'm not yours to be used and then discard
That's why I'm downstairs eating mincepies and watching Die Hard

You've got to love a Christmas song in May an excellent collaboration although I'm a little worried about the unshaven back of the legs I hope the lights were turned down low but then again each to there own  ;D

Totally brilliant!! I love Ray's backer, especially that lovely low bass and fantastic harp work. But your vocals had me cracking up. And they are also brilliantly performed, a really fabulous blues performance. And the harmonies at the end just add a super touch for the errrrr.... climax :-[

It's also a fantastic production as well, a really superb listen.

Great bluesy track. Excellent vocals and slide guitar work throughout.

Great song, that music is just great from ray, he's too good! I enjoyed the lyrics, nice original Xmas song..a bit early maybe, but I'm not complaining.
