I rediscovered this song, a little bit by chance on You tube...I hadn't heard it for a long time!

I asked our friend Ray Brookes if he would sing it for me because I really wanted to put a lap steel tuned in C6, I thought that this song went well with this tuning which is quite country

Unfortunately I had a rare accident: I broke some teeth of the gear of the second string of my lap steel...impossible to raise it to the note of E (C6 CEGACE tuning)

So I played on 5 strings!...(I'll do it again when I get a new mechanism)

Ray Brookes sang it here in a masterly way, respecting enough the original version of the Stealers Wheel, Scottish musician who composed it in 1973

Merci Ray!

This is the 14th volume of my "Containment Musical Workshop" series

Great vocal by Ray and JP's lap steel sounds great. Like Farrell, this used to be on my band's set list mid 2000's.

Great playing JP, even with only 5 strings! A great version, the lap steel sounds fab on this and gives it a really nice feel. Ray's vocals are a great addition and work very well. Excellent cover guys!

Tasty! Such a great feel and vibe. The pedal steel is right on the money, and the vocal is completely superb. A brilliant cover of a brilliant song. I do love a bit of cowbell, lol.
