All of my life I felt that it was my responsibility to make the people closest to me happy 24/7/365. If they weren't, for whatever reason, I've felt that it was my fault and I was letting them down, even if their depression had nothing to do with me. I think my wife has finally convinced me that It's not always my fault.

No, it's definitely not always your fault. But it's good to be sensitive enough to ask that question - then make a beautiful and thoughtful lyric from it. Musically, you always deliver pure class. Melodies to die for, and incredible arrangements. Already onto my 2nd listen as there's a lot of lovely detail to absorb. Lovely stuff!

Amazing work John. It's a beautifully written and arranged song, with really sensitive and delicate keyboard work. The dynamics of the song are fantastic and your vocals fit like a glove. But it's the lyrical content that really made it for me. I've been in this situation many times so I know exactly where you are coming from, and you get the feelings and emotions over so well.
