Ouch, this one hits too close to home. Although, I forget I'm not one of the senior songcrafters *puffs out chest*
The recording is a little quiet. But that's just an excuse to turn it up to eleven. It's a cool acoustic sound. This recording has a good feeling of space to it, atmosphere.

fact....  love the lyrics... and the way you weave them into the guitar...  i could hear this on open mic or as a single in a pub or coffee shop...that chord riff in there sounds familiar...but I can't place it...just that short piece you do

For such a stripped-back song there's a lot of sophistication going on. The vocal melody (and the vocals) are superb. And that's a very poignant lyric. Really works - on all levels.

It's great how you can churn out a song in the time your family are out. I really like this Trevor, like your other songs you seem to produce these catchy songs with that timeless sound each time. It is very similar sound to led zep which is good as I like them. Nice tone in the guitar and great vocals and lyrics.
