More pissing about with pedals and Kemper. The solo guitar is my old JV Squire Strat. I put 9's on (normally 10's) - they  sounds pretty good to my ears. This is the first outing for the JHS Fuzz. actually its the first time I've used Fuzz :-)

Loose the shackles
Let us flow
Squeeze me
and we'll hit the road

The wind grows strong
It wont be long
Free Again
There's no excuse
So cut us loose
Free Again

You've had that moment
And now its gone
It leaked like water
Lacking grace, that is wrong

You can't swim against the tide
Freedom now, thats the cry!

Freedom.
Freedom.

this is southern rock meets 70's rock... those guitar sounds and the playing is awesome...  This is a taste of Joe Walsh like back in the James Gang, but a bit bassier.... crazy good stuff...
funny you mentioned string size...as in everything size matters...lol...
I never notice them until I try playing leads on thick strings...then you notice...

cool vocals too..

Some delicious vintage tones going down here. Really like the fuzzy shuffle of the left side, but that solo work - bloody hell, that's soooo tasty. Those descending chord parts were particularly exciting to my ears. It's a great track, but too short!

This pissing about resulted in some gorgeous guitar tones, I love that rhythm sound in the LH channel, and the solo sound (and playing) is superb. It's also a great groove, I was loving the bass part as well - is this done on a bass or a guitar emulating a bass? Really punchy mix as well which gets the tones across really well.

Nice one, keep pissing about!

Okay - this requires some explanation.

First, this was one of those problem tracks, it was going in the bin, and then I was going to post for a collab - then I thought I'd have a go on some vocals. Then I didn't like the vocals, and the song was too short. Racked by indecision, I posted it anyway :-)

So, drums. I have worked from Beta Monkey Loops for ever. These are real drummers cut up into tempo based collections, so you can add one to the other. I've got a number of collections, this one is from Blues and Shuffles set. I write of the beat, so fit the music around the beats. I like it because it is real, and I'm generally really, really lazy when it comes to programming drums. I'm unsure if there is a double drum pedal, but these are all pro drummers in the studio.

The Bass is my normal Sterling sub bass - however, I fed it through the J Rockett APE into a Kemper bass amp profile. That APE is like fairy dust, and makes everything sound super fat. I must say, I was really happy with that bass sound.

The fuzz sound is a Tele into the JHS 3 Series Fuzz - I wasn't sure at first, but its definitely growing on me. The APE is always on, but delay switched on, its acting as a tone boost at the end of the chain.

The lead tone was from the FullTone Robin Tower Overdrive. I was thinking its quite a dark sounding pedal, as it is basically a souped up tube screamer I think,. I put it on pretty much full treble into the APE - that seems to have done the trick, so not as muddy. This uses the APE delay loop on - which is a clean single repeat fully WET digital repeat from the Zoom Multistomp. The APE uses this as a tape head, and adds the decay and distortions to make it like a tape delay. Its a wicked pedal, I would recommend this to anyone. This was the first outing for a long, long time for my first ever proper guitar which I've neglected and had from 1982, the JV Fender Squire Strat. Its an old friend and seems to fit like a glove. Its all original, so the original pickups still sound good.

I should add that there is a clean guitar with the Ventura Univibe on it!

Attached is the picture of the pedal board below....

I still hate my vocals...

Some cool guitar riffing through out Bruno.....I also dig that bass sound and the fuzz! I read your explanation on how you did things. It's quite in-depth but it all worked great!

Thanks for posting what you used on this. I really dig this,.. it's just coolness.
I  also like your laid back vocals, they really work. ...And, guitar tones are tasty.
Good tune.
