In my youth i once knew three brothers its still hard to think they have gone .....
The collective came together remembrance
Of the days of their miss-spent youth
But Bobby ,Martin & jimmy were absent they had left the party way too soon
First to go was jimmy
concussed  and confused with life
Flying from the top of the building
Falling
leaving his precious life
His mother father brothers
fell with him on that day
he took his life
The shock
The horror
Bobby was racked with guilt
Tormented to his very bones
What could he have done
what could he have Said
For years the guilt ate at him
till he lost his mind
till he lost his mind
He turned the keys on the car and the engine came to life
The garage door was shut tight
as the smoke filled up his lungs
The telephone rang
And the terrible news was told
Martin was full of anger
how could Bobby do this to them
He struggled through the funeral, through his life
Until
He took solace in the powder
The Brown took a hold
The drink took his soul
until finally he was gone
Until he was gone
Till finally
 he was gone
His mother was broken
His father too
They were lost
Lost
The collective came together in remembrance
Of the days of their miss-spent youth

This is quite a sad story you are telling in song Trevor. A very moving tale. I'm always envious by the way you are able to skillfully immerse yourself, emotionally, into your vocal performances as you've done here. The music is the perfect setting to convey this sad account of 3 brothers life's gone too soon. Well done!

it's a sad story, but You tell it really well through the lyrics, great songwriting. And I love the style you used for the vocals, talking to the 'audience' rather than singing. It really works with the music. The music sounds just right. Great song Trevor.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

Interesting sound with the string and horn sounds coupled with the vocal. Love the vocals as always. Great storytelling in the lyrics as well.

Wow, I like the slight change of direction here. Loving that keyboard/synth backing and I think there are some minor to major key changes in there which are very effective (I could be wrong, I have no music theory knowledge :-[). It's quite a story and it's told in a very compelling way with real emotion. A bit different but still a fantastic listen.

Powerful song Trev. I don't think there is anything you can't sing, so amazing.
Full of the emotion of the tragic story.
btw, i'm hoping to do an Elvis tune , with a twist. Hoping we could get together for that...
