it's a composition of my friend Bernard ...he did it all! lyrics, music, and instruments ...I just added a lead guitar, for fun

It's rock made in France Ladies and Gentlemen!  :D

c'était trop long ... c'était trop dur!

Bien sur tout cela a duré
des mois longs comme des années
Je ne pensais pas m'en sortir
ce cauchemar n'allait jamais finir

et puis un jour sur une photo
un jolie minois pour mon coeur gros
le téléphone a fonctionné
l'amour en fin m'a déniché
Fini le plomb, le coeur obscur
Je fais des bonds
vers le futur

solo

___________translation
All starts in August
the nights, I couldn't see the end of it anymore
my days passed without flavor
I swear to you that I was counting the hours
Death mocked me day and night
Everything was black, even the bed feather
love goes into nothingness
Life lost all its bite
I had the blues, the dark heart
it was too long ... it was too hard!

Of course all this lasted
months as long as years
I didn't think I'd make it
this nightmare was never going to end

and then one day on a photo
a pretty face for my big heart
the phone worked
love in the end found me
No more blues, no more dark heart
I'm jumping up and down
into the future

solo

here I am in love again
when you think about it, it's fabulous.
and even if you are no longer 20 years old
life is smiling at us now

will she save us the trouble
pain and problems
in the meantime we take advantage of it
because we both feel great!!

No more blues, no more dark heart
I make leaps and bounds...into the future

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Nice hopeful arc in the lyrics.    Bernard's vocal performance is very good, and the mix sounds quite professional.

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

You've gone all 'Santana' on us, JP :-)

Really nice track. Listening without looking at the translated lyric gave me the wrong impression: it sounded like a happy latin groove. But those words are DARK man! I especially liked the translated line 'Everything was black, even the bed feather', which probably isn't even an accurate translation.

Really great playing.

Nice collab JP, it's a very good song with some great lyrics and the lead work is the icing on the cake. I agree with what others have said, there's a nice Santana feel in your playing. It certainly sounds like you had fun doing this, and I really enjoyed listening to it.

Great collab rocking with screaming leads well done

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

thank you guys....I let myself grow a moustache like Carlos Santana. ;D

Thanks again to Bernard for accepting my guitaristic elucubrations on his beautiful composition.

...and then I made a new version by applying myself a little more
