Wow, really enjoyed this. It's a great song, really catches the right vibe and your brother's playing and singing are awesome. He really attacks that guitar and has great control and timbre to his voice. Nice additions from you and your youngster, this must have been great fun to do. It was great fun to listen to. It's fab to hear something posted from you again Dave, please do bring the whole family on to the site! ;)

If your brother is not aware of the band Horslips, he should check out some of their stuff on YouTube (start with Daerg Doom). Probably the greatest Irish rock/folk crossover. But in such an Irish city, I would hope you are aware of them.....

Glad i didn't miss this. This is GREAT Dave! I love the big airy sound...the solid guitars..super vocals with accent..and Keith's bass is wonderful. I like a busy bass up in the mix like this...if it's good..and this is! What a great family jam. So glad you posted this Dave. May your muse be with you! Time for another get together me thinks...

Absolutely brilliant. Yes, very much a Horslips vibe. Great playing and vocals by you all. Hearing family ensemble reminds me of watching my two sons playing fiddle and whistle together at sessions in our local pub. Sadly not to be repeated for quite a while of course - My contribution was to pay for the Guinness and Jamesons. Lol. Well done all!

Great track.  The bass playing stands out, it's all good but I love those bass lines, if I was in a bar I would be up and dancing.

I think you would write "Bring Home the Éirinn", if it's the same as the phrase "Éirinn go Brách".

In 2016 my wife and my kids and I all got in our van and drove out from Toronto for a vacation at the east coast, and one of my favorite parts was St Johns NB, and Miramichi NB.   I can't wait to go back. Also enjoyed Fredericton.

Everyone was so friendly and everyone called us dear or dearie, and New Brunswick sure impressed me. I  also enjoyed Nova Scotia and PEI but New Brunswick is the hidden gem in Canada, everyone should go and spend some time.

There was some kind of funny New Brunswick special cake or desert thing I remember someone told me to get when I went there, and of course, the seafood is to die for.

after having listened to this about 7 times now.... I would say yes....I like it even more now...and the bass is riveting and really does a great job driving the tempo.... this little band is really good....learn about 40 songs...and go to the fairs and stuff.... you'd get some good crowds...and music like this appeals to many.

Thanks so much folks....Horslips I admit that I have never heard of this band sadly, but now that I have checked it out I love their music...thanks for the suggestion Ferryman, I was shocked to find that they were from all the way back in the early 70's...very cool music...thanks everyone.

BB!! Great to see (and hear) you back on Songcrafters, man!

This is a solid, professional-sounding song in the Maritimes Irish & Scottish folk style. Guitars, vocals, and organ sound absolutely top-notch.

Amazing! Brilliant playing, atmosphere and authentic folk feel. That bass is so nice - great little melodic runs. Sounds like a 19th century ship's crew having an impromptu rum-fuelled jam. It feels so real and traditional that it's like a cover, which is a huge compliment to the songwriting. Absolutely love it.
