I heard this track https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=29640.0  Ella and Kari put up on collaboration board and thought that is a finished piece it was beautifull but i've given it the the old college try after a few false start i think i have something that fits the brief that Kari set on the colaborations board. I hope so anyway hope i haven't ruined it Thanks Ella & Kari for putting it up for a collab.

ps. Just realised Flash and Greeny did a version i shall have to have a listen i missed that....

Winter becomes spring

The whispers of youth they disappear
like leafs falling from the trees
No one here remembers
how it used to be
Yesterday  now is nothing but a dream
The leaves fall forever
The leaves they fall forever
Darkness shrouds every thought
As the black dog howls once more
As we drown in our thoughts
As we drown in our thoughts

But we've got to wake up like spring
Got to start to begin
We can't stay in this dark forever
No we can't stay in the dark forever

Spring is finally here the blue skies wake the soul
The eyes of wonder start to behold
Life again can grow
Life again can grow
I wait to dance again
To hear the bird song sing
To walk through trees under dappled light
To begin one again with the world outside
I can feel spring is here in the breeze
It is here fulfilling the need
Winter becomes Spring

Absolutely beautiful. Another stunning version of this wonderful music. Great lyrics Trev but the control and subtlety of your vocal performance is  top notch. Bravo!!!

Ray Brookes

This is a lovely song and congrats to all involved. The lyrics are brilliant and I get the meaning behind 'The black dog howls once more' Vocally this is a masterful performance and not something I'd attempt to sing, Trev - way too melodic for my horrid voice. Great work; well done.

Kenneth

Perfect!
Loved it, everything about it. Congrats to you all.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Greeny

What a corker! You give it an almost medieval edge. Beautiful vocal and lyric.

StephenM

well, i loved Greeny's version of it...and I think that was an amazing song...and I listen to it often...and even though i immediately recognized the tune...this is gorgeous...gosh you have a great voice...and you are so freakin busy...seeing your photo of your "studio" on whats ap confirmed my suspicions of you...creative minds are seldom tidy... hats off to all involved in this and you live on in my mind yet again!

Wonderful surprise! So beautiful words and singing! Everything is perfectly in balance. Really, really beautiful!

Redler

We spent the weekend at the cabin and I noticed this post on Friday. Listened to it via mobile phone and now with phones. This is just stunning, Trev!! I found still one more "tone" of your voice. You've written excellent lyrics as well.

Thank you very much :)
