How do you haul your MBR around?

Ive got a bike messenger bag that Ive used for awhile to tote my songbooks, tools, strings and "whatnot" around. Its got tons of pockets and zippers, with a nice one up front that fits the MBR nicely...and the material is a rubbery vinal to keep it dry.

But now I feel like my load has gotten bigger each day since the MBR...and its a mess of cables and these big ol Sony headphones take up alot of space too!
And it all resides on TOP of my books now, bending them out of shape somewhat, as they should be standing vertically...theyre on the bottom.

So as cool as this bag is/was...its got me wondering, what do you use to portage this small wonder? And all its "accessories"?

And whats your secret for keeping cables tangle free? I always try and wind them round themselves, but it seems futile.

Get some Velcro (hook and loop) cable ties. They're inexpensive, easy to use, and re-usable.

I'd make bigger cable loops than shown in the video. It makes it easier to wrap the velcro ties around, and the cables will lie flatter when you unwrap them.

When I go on trips, I have a wee camera bag that perfectly fits the Micro BR, a Kaossilator, a BOSS octave pedal (for bass tones), and a Micro POD (if I'm feeling especially Randy).  There's enough room for extra cards or whatever.  I carry cables in the outside pocket of my cheapo Strat's gig bag.

Works well albeit a tad nerdy.

Peace.

Doesnt sound all that small or "wee" with the pedals in there too.

Oh, it's rather wee.

Most of time, it gets tossed into the little compartment of my guitar's hard case since my guitar and MBR pretty much go everywhere together (band rehearsal, friends house to jam, etc...)

If it take it elsewhere and want to look put together (i'm such a poser/geek sometimes...) I have a Boss 3 pedal case (gray plastic) that does a great job of containing my MBR, AT Stereo Mic, cables, SDcards, and notebook. The only thing that doesnt fit right are my nicer headphones so i usually just cart around some decent earbuds in the case. I just use a sheet of 1/4" foam that sits on top and keeps everything in place.

Namba Gear has some interesting bags and backpacks. The Samba Personal Stash Bag ($34.95) looks like it might be handy for some Micro BR users.

If you need more storage space, they also offer backpacks and other larger bags.

Another idea is camera bags and cases. They usually have lots of zippered pockets, pouches, and compartments that could be used for Micro BR, cables, mics, headphones, etc.

Greeny (No longer active)

I've gone for a slightly different (low cost!) solution... I hollowed out a Sega Mega-Drive game case, and it's a perfect hard-shell carrier for the BR. It just gets thrown in my bag now, and any wires, headphones and batteries etc can take care of themselves.
