I think it's good for a blues song to acknowledge the blues of the moment but also get your foot tappin' and hopefully put a smile on your face.  Anyway, this was my attempt to do that.  Thanks for listening...

Not a lot of places to go, way down here
Not a lot of things you can know, way down here
There isn't any ticket that you can buy
To take you to the places you feel inside
Back to the places you know, way down here

Something that I wished I could find, way down here
It's more than just a matter of time, way down here
Well there's some things I'm wishin' that I could find
Others maybe better off left behind
Worries that can trouble your mind, way down here

If you see Jesse, over on the side of the road
You better step out of the way if he gets up to go
Better think twice before you decide
Maybe even offer-up to give him a ride
If you see Jesse, waitin' on the side of the road

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Loved it straight from the off. The intimacy of the vocal is beautifully poised, but the whole production is absolutely immaculate. Makes me think of The Zombies - especially when the Ron Argent hammond organ swirls in.

Sitting in my garden, and it's the perfect sunny soundtrack.

So good! And so good to hear some new material from you.

I like this Hooper! Such a smooth delivery on the vocals and the recording/production is top notch. Well done.

Yep have to agree with Tim. This sounds up close and personal. Your guitar is very delicately and tastefully done allowing that cool vocal to shine. Lovely tune.

It's so good to hear some new music from you Ken, this is pure Hooper class.

Laid back, understated, brilliantly recorded and mixed. the organ - it's almost subliminal when it just peers into the frame, beautiful.

I absolutely love it.

There's been some really fantastic music posed here over the last few weeks, this is right up there with the best.

It's indeed a great pleasure to hear music from you again Ken. It's so well produced that you are drawn right inside the music from the off. And the music is fab, very sensitively played and beautifully composed. A really great piece of music that was a real pleasure to listen to. Let's hope there is more where this came from during lockdown!

Excellent original blues here Bro.

It starts with a fine rhythm track you created.  Some of the percussions sound homemade, like two pieces of wood, may be?  Anyway, you've got your bass sounding really fine.  Superbly clean guitar tracks, may be understated, or just all that is called for.  Your vox has
real nice presence and tone.  Congrats on a very good original.  8) 8) 8) 8)

Watch out for Jesse!

Excellent blues song, Hooper! Fine job with guitars and vocals. I got a bit JJ Cale vibe.

Keyboards puts really tasteful flavor to this. Enjoyable listening!
