Far Away (a warning sign)

Kenny pinged me a week or so back asking if I had anything on the go, I hadn't so I wrote back and asked for a drum track, always my starting point..

I had a few days tracking and changing until I had a backer for Kenny to add vocals and guitars to, I had an idea where this could go to, but Kenny came straight out of left field.

This is the combination of Kenny's initial idea, my noodling and then Kenny turning it into something real.

This does rock absolutely... this one is like a mix of really futuristic noises and yet a little 80's style thrown in and then a sprinkling of hard rock guitar on top. Quite a mix... and bloody hell it works!

Loved it from the opening note. That's one dark, apocalyptic groove. And that guitar - wow. All beautifully mixed of course.

Sounds like the closing credits to a Jason Bourne film. It really does!

Wow and more wow! Loving this one. Really different, I really like the somewhat proggy song structure. The breakdown at 3:20 is fab, really cleverly done, and the way you build it back up to the end is fab. The synths going wide in the stereo at the end are superb. A really powerful mix and performance, so much to love.

What a fantastic collaboration! Well done guys.
