FutureFest (banner image missing)

Ok, so this is a festival submission for FutureFest... but I might be bending the rules here. I can't remember if we are allowed instrumentals. So the link to the Future is a bit tenuous other than the title... which is future related... I will let 64 decide! :)

Anyway... this is basically just me trying to improve my guitar skills along to a chord progression I put together. Pretty pleased with the lack of editing (as I used to do more of). A minor edit to a dodgy note near the beginning and then one more towards the end, but apart from that it's a live take. Did take a lot of practice hours though! :)

Anyway...

1 lead guitar track
2 rhythm guitar track (same repeated left and right with different effects)
1 drum track (garage band)
1 bass (garage band)
1 synth (garage band)

That is some super lead work Mike! Great tone and style. On using edits, I say use the skills and equipment you have at your disposal. It would be a shame to scrap a good take because of one or two sour notes....just fix them and move on.  BTW, I didn't hear any edits so you did them well. Overall nicely done!

Love the flow of this. The tone of the lead guitar is just right for the track. Well mixed with the two rhythm guitars with the complementing effects.
Garageband looks a useful tool to use for backings and have seen it pop its head out on my Facebook page so that needs a bit of investigation. Could save a bit of time for me as drums programming is a long process.
Going to check out some of your other recent tracks.

I can only agree with the others, this is really nice emotional playing with a great flow. You, as the artist, hear the glitches leap out at you but we, the listeners, don't hear them in the same way. Nothing jumped out at me, I was just going with the whole flow of the piece. The backing is well put together to give you a nice base for the lead work.

Really enjoyed this.

Sounds great well played When I was first learning how to play I would make a mistake and stop my teacher explained to me that flubs were are heard by the artist 90% of the time and not the listeners so just keep playing and most will not be noticed.   All of this is well put together and a really nice recording
