So here's a song not just on the 4AD label, but on Bauhuas' 4AD ep on the 4AD label.  Which I have a vinyl copy of in the garage from back in the day, as it happens.  It was a big thing for me in the first year away in uni, back in '83 (I can remember writing out all the lyrics onto a t-shirt at the time).

I was going to do a LITLR uke version to begin with but then it just sort of spiraled and ended up being a fairly straight guitar-bass-drums-vocal four track recording. Real bass, too, which is the first in a long time for me.

It's a fairly intense song, but then if you will put up a 4AD fest...

Yes - that is fairly intense!  I think you should put a statement up that no guitars were harmed in the making of this recording  ;).  I didn't know this song but the performance and production are great, and your vocals are just brilliant for the song.

I think the last song I listened to of yours was "Something".  This is very different - and splendid.

Well the bassline defiantly drives this song
Great job Tim
Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I don't know this song but I like the interaction of the heavy guitar chords and that heavy bass line. Good vocal work also!

Not a Bauhaus tune that I knew previously, but you definitely captured their vibe very well here.

Well done, Nick!

Been away from the site for a while due to a house move and life issues, so didn't see the 4AD fest. As a massive Bauhaus fan, I had to jump straight into this one. Glad you gave it the full treatment, you did incredibly well. I love the guitar sounds, you captured the feel of Daniel Ash's playing but in your own style. The bass is great, creates a great underpinning for the vox. And you did a great job there, I'd hesitate at trying anything Pete Murphy did as he is such a great vocalist.

Overall a wonderful effort that brought a smile to this old Bauhaus fan's face. Bravo!!!

I remember the name Bauhaus from my youth, but not familiar with their music. But, now when listening to this, it takes me back to 70's...early 80's.

Well performed and the bass line is so captivating!
