I've been a bit busy,so i haven't been about much, sorry. i'm in the middle of moving house. Gene sent this one over the pond for me and Hillary to have a go at. Excelent musicianship as always from Gene and the normal wailing from me with excellent backing from Hils. Thanks for listening

I've moved this to the Backing Track Jams board because the backing music is primarily, if not entirely, a commercial karaoke backing track (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2ntPdY4xts).

Please, everyone, if you must use backing tracks:

1) Be sure that it's legal to post them on a public internet forum. Many backing tracks are intended only for home/private use and it's illegal to post them publicly on the internet. Any legal action brought against us would surely mean the end of Songcrafters. And any member who posts a track illegally won't escape the courts either. Hopefully, most of our members don't want Songcrafters to end and will be responsible in their use of backing tracks.

2) If you've made sure that it's legal to post a song using a particular backing track, then please post it in the Backing Track Jams board. The Cover Songs and Original Songs boards are only for recordings made entirely by our members. The use of backing tracks is only allowed in the Backing Track Jams board, and only if it's legal.

3) In your song post, be sure to clearly indicate which parts are performed by you and which parts are the backing track. It's deceitful and unethical to take credit for something you didn't perform.

4) If you invite other members to contribute to the recording, be sure to tell them that you've used a backing track. And be clear about which parts, if any, you added yourself.

I understand that you have a difficult job monitoring the site and am thankful for the hard work you put in, but I would have thought a pm to the people concerned would have been more appropriate to discuss this matter privately, rather than to be publicly reprimanded like naughty school boys and to save any embarrassment to those concerned if any , then to have stipulated the rules on a separate thread for us all to adhere too but then, what I would do, is not necessarily what other would. So hey ho !
