UP DATE with new mastering and video in last message ;)

Until not long ago, I didn't know this famous blues!

..and yet I had done the cover of an arrangement by an Argentinean musician Luis Ferreira called Stormy monday
an arrangement for Weissenborn and Uke that you can find here

https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=27908

This arrangement is very different from the original Stormy Monday composed by T Bone Walker in 1947, although it takes up the harmonic grid

...and then I discovered the Stormy monday blues by a cover of Tim (TBD) on YC

My version is specially dedicated to him

You can find the full story of this song on this Wiki article:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_It_Stormy_Monday_(But_Tuesday_Is_Just_as_Bad)

including the evolution of the famous harmonic grid that we owe to Booby Bland

I7 IV9 I7 I7 I7 IV9 IV9 IV9 I7-ii7 iii7-?iii7 ii7 V9 I7-IV9 I7-V9

This grid with substitutions on bars 7 and 8 is really the archetype of 12 blues bars

Thanks to BIAB's right hand pianist (bass, organ, drums are also BIAB)

I had a lot of fun with the guitars
JP1 and JP2 Fender strato (Japanese) chord grid
JP3 and JP4 Fender strato lead in clear sound
JP5 Epiphone Les Paul lead in saturated sound

PS
I've never done a song this long before :(
...probably to commemorate the longest day... (the D Day)
I had to do the mp3 rendering in 128Kps (?)...I don't see much difference with the usual 256 Kps render,  and you?
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Oh yeah...

So there is a lot of versions of this tune around down through the years I think. You have given this some real soul and great to hear those great Les Paul tones in there. Agree with the previous comment, playing in that slow tempo worked great.

I'm so glad you've been turned on this blues classic  JP. Your voice and chops are perfect for this genre. This is one my most favorite blues tunes ever. This was in my song list in several bands over the years. You nailed it brother.
