"Avrai" ("You'll Have") is one of the most popular songs composed in 1982 by the Italian singer-songwriter Claudio Baglioni. EXTREMELY popular here in Italy.
It's a wonderful melody line in my opinion, repeated twice, with the second time up one tone.

It was composed when his first son was born, and lyrics are great too...as a father myself, I barely can imagine a better song dedicated to a son/daughter...

You Will Have
You'll have smiles on your face like crickets and stars in August
Photographed stories in a leather-bound album
Roars of supersonic jets that raise heads
And the darkness at dawn that turns silver in the windowpane

You'll have a telephone nearby that already means waiting
The foam of wild waves that trail one another at sea
And white trousers to show it's already summer
A train for America without stops

You'll have two sweeter tears to dry
A dying sun and shellfish catchers
And mountain snow and hillside rain
You'll have an ice-cream stick to suck

You'll have an innocent belle and a young pain
Boulevards of leaves aflame to set your heart alight
And you'll have a seat to perch upon, and hours
Empty as a chocolate egg
And a friend who'll have let you down; betrayed, deceived you...

[Chorus]
You'll have, you'll have, you'll have
Your time to go far
You'll walk, forgetting; you'll pause, dreaming
And you'll have, you'll have, you'll have
The same sad hope of mine
And you'll feel you haven't ever loved enough
If love, love you'll have...

You'll have new words to look for when evening comes
And a hundred bridges to cross to make the railing ring
The first cigarette that fumes up a bit of a cough
Christmases of holly and red candles

You'll have a job to toil over
Mornings drenched in shivers and dewdrops
Amusement arcades and pebbles in the streets
You'll have memories, umbrellas, and keys to forget

And you'll have caresses to speak with dogs
And it will always be Sunday tomorrow
And you'll have dialogues enclosed within, and hands
That rummage through the pockets of life
And a radio to learn that the war is over...

Backing tracks: BIAB. Guitars are a Gibson SJ-200 and a Fender Telecaster.

very nice guitar sound, as usual Alfredo
If you ever want to give up your gibson SG 200 and fender telecaster guitars, I'm happy to adopt them. I already have a big family, but we'll get together to welcome them.

En effet belle chanson, beau texte,...je ne connaissais pas merci pour le lien YT
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

That's some fine picking, Alfredo - that Gibson acoustic sounds especially sweet! And nice soaring lead tone on the Telecaster.

Well done!
