Here's The Thing - Synth version by Chapperz

Before Christmas I put up an orchestral version of this piece.  By popular demand (well - Cuthbert and Flash - which is popular enough for me!) I submit the original synth style version which morphed into the other version. I still prefer the chamber orchestra one but this is OK.

It's only about 1.5 minutes so it isn't too hard much hard work.  The originally posted version is on  this post:

It's cracking Paul, you know I love a bit of synth, and this really floats my boat.

BTW I saw John Grant the other night at the O2 in Leeds, so retro synthy at times but utterly contemporary, it made me think that this is where we may have been if we hadn't been Spandau'd in the early 80's - worth a listen if you're not familiar - Pale Green Ghosts, on Spotify.

This, though, is super.

I re-listened to the "chamber"-version at first and this newer has more cinematic vibe, imo. I can't decide which is better (I like both of them), they are just different...

Woah, I'm a little late to this one - glad I finally caught up. The essence of the piece is here - really dig the synth arrangement, too. Get a bit of a Numan-esque vibe from it, which is always a good thing. Not sure which I prefer: loved them both!

Cool stuff, could be expanded to so much more, some great rhythms and synth sound's an excellent listen!!
