by chance, I listened to BB King's "Thrill is gone" again at the Chicago Guitar Festival in 2010( on YT ) , there were some big names: Clapton, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, Albert Lee,

...as I wasn't invited ;D, I did this cover as a tribute to BB King, a fabulous blues guitarist

Drums, electric piano, Bass are BIAB gang
All guitars ( 4 or 5 take) JP
and the singing, with all my apologies
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I've always liked this BB King song JP and you've done it well ! The guitar has a cool, mellow sound which fits well with the other instruments. Nice work on the vocal as well !

Great cover JP ! A really nice bluesy guitar tone and your vocals really suit the song. They should have invited you to Chicago !

thank you all
yeah ... the sound of the guitar lead sounds more like Gilmour than BB King :) :) :) ... and I regret it but hey we do with what we have

Excellent cover. I agree with others, the guitar tone is great. It doesn't matter it's not like BB King, it's your own and it works for you and that's what matters.
