One of my favourites, theme tune for the wonderful TV series 'The Royle Family' with the much missed Caroline Aherne, and the understated Craig Cash.

This is the first I have done in my new studio, two takes, both LITMR, I only had a few minutes, smashed together with artless clumsiness.

I had to bang it in before someone else did.

We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different
- Kurt Vonnegut.

Nice job. The new studio sounds great.

I said in another topic that Wonderwall is the only Oasis song I'm familiar with but I have to correct myself as I know this one from The Royle Family. I don't think I ever realised that it was by Oasis though. Cool song.

We'll have to have TV Themes as one of the choices in our next fest poll. We've had it before and it never won but that might be because people are thinking in terms of some of the cheesy tunes written specifically for a TV programme. But there are lots of songs like this one that have been chosen for a TV theme and are great tunes in their own right. A couple of favourites that come to mind are "I'm Alone But That's OK" by Ron Sexsmith which was the theme for the HBO series "Family Tree" starring Chris O'Dowd, and "Save Me" by Remy Zero which was the theme for the Superman series "Smallville".
