It's too bad thereis no music movies fest  , am I wrong?

the little story of this cover

By doing the cover on Rivers of tears I realized that I had done what is called in classical guitar an accompanied melody (forbidden games is a melody accompanied by the most popular, nicely taken over by Mister Alfstone by the way)

and so it reminded me that in my period "classical guitar" I had studied this piece of Stanley Meyers, at the time I played it in the arrangement of Williams for A solo guitar

Too difficult for my old fingers and my old memory, I picked it up here has two guitars
one that makes the melodic line
one who makes the arpeggios
I thundered with some slow strings from the soundfont "string sonatina"

the great story of sonatina

"Cavatina" is a 1970 classical guitar piece by British composer Stanley Myers written for the film The Walking Stick (1970), and popularised as the theme from The Deer Hunter some eight years later.

The piece had been recorded by classical guitarist John Williams, long before the film that made it famous. It had originally been written for piano, but at Williams' invitation Myers re-wrote it for guitar and expanded it. After this transformation, it was first used for the film The Walking Stick (1970). In 1973, Cleo Laine wrote lyrics and recorded the song as "He Was Beautiful", accompanied by Williams.

After the release of The Deer Hunter in 1978, Williams' instrumental version became a UK Top 20 hit. Two other versions also made the Top 20 in the same year: another instrumental recording by The Shadows, with an electric guitar played by Hank Marvin,(I think of Tommy there)

They are many many covers  of this song,

my references to make this pieces was

Have now listened to this many times as the afternoon as worn on.
I am truly blown away by your playing of this piece, outstanding and beautiful are two words that come to mind,
but they don't really do it justice.

I sense so much feeling put into your playing, that really comes across to me.

I have built up quite a playlist of late night wind down music over time, I can't wait till tonight when all is quiet and its dark and I can sit in
my rocking chair and appreciate this once more.

Once again thank you

Cheers

I wanted to make a cover of "Last train from poor valley", do you know? you would sing that very well

Well done JP. This is great. I had to listen when I saw the title in the comments section. It really is one of my favourite solo pieces for guitar. I have tried this myself but had to abort mission about halfway through as it was too difficult for me. I do intend to have another crack some day.

You have done a tremendous job here. It has a heart and soul of its own and beautiful guitar sound.
