Arthur Prysock Jr. was an American jazz and R & B singer best known for his live shows

this song: "It's Too Late Baby, It's Too Late" (1965)., discovered by chance on YT is not too well known, I think (who knows among you?) ... but I liked this atmosphere bluesy

I replaced the saxophone with my guitar (with guitar rig 5) and thundered OOH and AAH borrowed in BIAB

guitar and vocals JP and others: piano, bass drums, strings BIAB
the lyrics in the box
        It's too late
I've found somebody new
It's a funny thing, baby
She does everything just like you

So dry your weeping eyes
Ain't no need to cry
'Cause it's too late, baby
Too late

It's too late
You hurt me to no end
The way I loved you, baby
Was a shame and a doggone sin

I can't let this get me down
'Cause chances roll around
Yes,  it's too late, baby
Too late

When you had me
You just couldn't see the light
All we did was fuss and fight

Well, I tried and I tried
Hoped you'd see your wrong someday
You found somebody new
And went on your merry way

Yes, it's too late
Don't come knocking at my door
Yes, it's too late, baby
Things ain't what they where before

So just before you go
One thing you should know
That it's too late, baby
Too late

When you had me
You just couldn't see the light
All we did was fuss and fight

Well, I tried and I tried
Hoped you'd see your wrong someday
You found somebody new
And went on your merry way

Yes, it's too late
Don't come knocking at my door
It's too late, baby
Things ain't what they where before

But just before you go
There's one thing you should know
It's too late, baby
Too late
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

This is really beautiful, JP.

Both the song and Arthur Prysock are absolutely unknown to me.

Alfredo

P.S.: completely OUT OT TOPIC...when I listen to you singing in English, it recalls immediately to my mind the retired Police Officer Julien Baptiste of "The Missing" TV series (on Amazon Prime Video).
A great TV series, anyway.  ;D

J'aime beaucoup...mais cela veux t il dire que mon accent est "spécial"  :)

No matter, I love singing in English because often I do not understand the lyrics ... and often it's better ;D

Beautiiful recording my friend, very laid back easy listening.
I had not heard of the singer or the song before

Particular highlights for me are the vocals, and the tone on your guitar, and you know me being the picky kind, I was hoping for a guitar solo, that would be the icing on the cake for me.

I'm also interested that a lot of your backing stuff comes from BIAB, I have that on my PC, but never really used it.
I tried to get piano pieces from Garage Band on my iPad with no luck I will need to fire up BIAB and have a go on there.

Cheers

thank you Ronnie

that's right, I could have done a guitar chorus lead It's Too late  ;D, as the song says?          No ... it's never late ;)

the sound of my strato passes by guitar rig 5 in Fx on my sequencer (reaper) with Jazz Amp simulation
BIAB: the advantage with BIAB is that it is not midi but real instruments recorded in .wave by great musicians (realtracks). Realtracks are transposable in any tone

For this song for example I had no partition, no chords, no tablature
decryption listening and  after chords are introduced in BIAB,   after the choice of instruments and music style,  it gives a very correct backtrack (is not Alfredo?) we can then add guitars, other instruments and voice in a sequencer
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Justs gets better and better, for me you just can't beat a well timed and played guitar solo
just loving the tone on the guitar

Strange, but the more I listen to this one I'm convincing myself that I've heard it before somewhere sometime, could be wrong.
Anyway I've got it downloaded and on my playlist now so I'm happy.

Thanks for taking the time,

Cheers

Yes the jazz style suits you perfectly JP. A great nostalgic feel and a super sound off that guitar
