Cliff wanted to meet Wreckless Eric to discuss covering more of his songs or even getting Eric to write songs for him.

At their introduction it is my understanding (not sure if it's urban myth or my early onset)

but apparently, Eric's first utterings to Sir (born again) Cliff, were all expletives.

Cliff was not impressed, he left  and vowed,  never to record any more of Eric's songs.

i like to think Eric didn't give a fuck.

I'm sure he didn't.
