i started this song earlier today, https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=27427.0
doing an under two minute version for the festival, i intended to do it more like this version, but didn't think i would have time.

i knew pretty much what i wanted to do with structure and additional lyrics etc. so i created a drum track in garage band and transferred that to my br800. i had intended to get my guitars, bass and juno di out, but like i said time was tight.

so i ended up using my ipad and recording each virtual instrument to separate tracks on my br800.

once that was done , i recorded a lead vocal in stereo using the tweaked fornylon tapped delay setting on my microbr, then i doubletracked another stereo vocal. as for the lyrics, i think i have become too engrossed in the Ray Donovan TV series.

anyway it is what it is.

Forgive me my trespasses
As I come through your door
You look like your uncertain
But I can't say for sure
I think I've started something
I don't know how to end
Cos I don't have the answers
So will you help my friend

Cos I can't see the clouds
I'm blinded by the sun
But I can feel the rain
I don't know where to turn

Forgive me my transgressions
Absolve me of my sins
Take nothing here for granted
You can't know what I've seen
The colours on my palette
Have turned from sweet to sour
The voices and the silence
I can't take it anymore

Cos I can't see the clouds
I'm blinded by the sun
But I can feel the rain
I don't know where to turn
Forgive Me My Trespasses (full mix)

Totally different from the under2 version! Double vocals sounds good here and the lead guitar puts nice flavor to this.

Bravo James!

Oldrottenhead

just listened to the 2 minute version which i prefer,

because i think it feels and sounds more organic,

when i have time i will attempt to redo this with real instruments.

i will keep the drums and start afresh.

tho don't hold your breath.

the time is hard to come by.

there's no enough time in the day .............as someone once said.................prophetically
