2/4 bar in a 4/4 drums arrangement?

Hi everyone,

I have been adding drums (in arrangement mode) to a guitar and vocals piece which was recorded to a metronome.

I am using POP1 with intro verses and fills, 76 bpm.  There's one part of the piece where I really need to have a 2/4 bar as the 4/4 gap between vocal lines is too long.

I have read on one of the tutorials about tempo doubling, but it doesn't sound right.

Anyone know of a way to inject a 2/4 bar?
